Increase in Burglaries

The information below is on an increase in residential and garage burglaries in two separate areas in District 6 from our CLO's. Please pass this information to anyone that you know that lives near these areas. Also even if you reside in a different area, take warning, these people tend to move around. It's that time of year. Steve From District 6 CLO Carlos Felix: Officer Klein has sent out some info regarding burglaries; which is in the below email. We are also experiencing some residential burglaries in the 2900 block of S. Clement Ave.  Can you please pass this info on so all can look out for each other.    From Officer Felix's new CLO partner Officer John Klein: We have had an increase of Garage Burglaries from S.12th St. to S 16th St. and from W. Dakota to W. Morgan with most of them occurring in the early mornings after midnight.  If you could please inform your members to make sure they are locking their garage doors and if they park a car outside to take the garage door opener into the house.  Also have them take any non essential winter equipment such as lawn mowers and put them in the basement if possible.  We will have extra patrols in that area, but tell your members to call the Police if they see anything that they feel is suspicious
